Currently, we support all ICAO 9303 compliant machine-readable travel documents, including biometric passports with NFC chips. Support for national ID cards and residence permits is being rolled out progressively.
The entire process typically takes between 2 to 5 minutes. Passport scanning is instant, NFC chip reading takes about 15 seconds, and the liveness check completes in under 30 seconds.
Absolutely. All data is encrypted end-to-end using AES-256 encryption. Biometric data is processed on-device and never stored on our servers. We comply with GDPR, and all data processing follows ISO 27001 standards.
If your passport does not contain an NFC chip, the app will automatically skip the chip reading step and proceed with OCR data and liveness verification. The verification can still be completed, though additional manual review may be required.
The app is available on iOS 15+ and Android 10+ devices. NFC chip reading requires an NFC-enabled device. Most smartphones manufactured after 2018 support this feature.
An internet connection is required to submit your verification. However, the passport scanning and liveness capture steps can be completed offline and will automatically sync when connectivity is restored.
